Canon 9000 problem...

Postby StanyB on Sat 16 May 2009 13:22

I use the Canon 9000 since dec 2008 but I don't print big quantities. Since a while it often doesn't take the paper from the first try and then I have to go to the painful slow reset and restart procedure... Anybody else having this problem?
I admit I don't use original Canon paper but I doubt thgis is the reason...

Thanks in advance for your input.
kindest regards,

Stany

Hi Stany,

I don't have that Canon but with several older canons I had the same kind of issue - I fixed it by form feeding coarse sand paper through the mechanism (as recommended by the local canon rep) and it used to fix it for me. Not sure if you want to try that on your own, but it definitely worked for me!

Problem solved after warrantee repair...

Postby StanyB on Wed 18 Nov 2009 11:14

Delivered my printer to Art & Craft where I bought it and it was send in for repair, came back after about 30 days and the problem seems to be fixed. Two first A4 prints both went flawless and from the first try...
kindest regards,

Stany

Hi James,
It keeps working perfect. What is strange is that it takes paper much slower than before, and doesn't fail anymore...
kindest regards,

Stany
